Job Description

Responsibilities
• Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
• Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
• Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
• Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
• Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
• Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
• Keep up with quality standards and ensure each software release is thoroughly reviewed.
• Collaborating with the design team to solve application faults.
• Coordinate with Product Owners and cloud/Solution Architects for testing processes.

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• With over 3 years of experience as a QA automation engineer, specifically testing APIs, web applications, databases and microservices.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies.
• Mastery of end-to-end software testing tools and frameworks such as Cypress and Selenium.
• Have experience in API testing and API test automation such as Postman.
• Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred for data integrity validations. NoSql is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with leading test frameworks like Mocha, Jest, Unittest/ Pytest.
• Ability to devise test plans based on requirement documents and User Stories.
• Deep understanding and application of software testing automation and quality assurance principles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Comprehensive knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Understanding of Scrum methodology and agile practices. Hands on experience with Jira.
• Proficiency in debugging is beneficial.
• Experience with version control systems, primarily GIT, and its workflows.
• Understanding of Static and Dynamic code analysis is beneficial.
• Exposure to Load and Stress testing systems using tools like JMeter is a plus.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Typescript/ Java script (Nodejs/Express, React, Angular) or Python (Flask, Django).
