Introduction:

- Proven experience (5+ years) in database design and management, with a demonstrated ability to work across a diverse range of database technologies(structured and non-structured data).
- Expertise in writing highly optimized queries and optimizing existing queries to improve performance and efficiency.
- Familiarity with data migration strategies and practices, including the ability to design and execute data migration plans with minimal downtime and data loss.
- Strong foundation in database theory, including data modeling and structures applicable to various database systems.

Good to have: Experience with backend development technologies (Node.js, JavaScript, etc) to support integrated database-backend system efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement database solutions(SQL and NoSql) that ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability, with a particular focus on writing and optimizing queries for maximum efficiency.
- Conduct regular reviews and optimizations of existing database queries, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance system performance.
- Lead data migration projects, planning and executing migrations with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and minimal disruption.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, delivering database solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Serve as a mentor and guide for junior developers, providing technical leadership, training, and support to enhance their skills and knowledge in database technologies.
- Optionally, leverage backend development skills to enhance the integration between database systems and application logic, contributing to the overall system performance and user experience.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with a focus on database technologies and data management principles.

Preferred Certifications:

Relevant certifications in database management, query optimization, and data migration are a plus.
